We are glad that you are here! The New Student Orientation tutorial is a self-paced training module for new students. Please begin with the Online Orientation for Undergraduate Students and work your way through the other modules.

Online Orientation for Undergraduate Students

To ensure your academic success at Union Institute and University we recommend the following minimum requirements for your personal computing devices. Please contact the UI&U Help Desk (513 487 4357, with any questions or concerns.


Computer hardware:

  • Processor: Intel Core i3 and higher or AMD equivalent
  • Memory: 4 GB
  • Hard Drive: 250 GB and higher


Computers using Microsoft Windows

  • Supported operating systems: Windows 7, 8. 8.1 and 10
  • Supported versions of Microsoft Office: Office 365 and Office 2010 and higher
  • Supported internet browsers:
    • Google Chrome: version 46 or higher
    • Mozilla Firefox: version 40 or higher
    • Internet Explorer: IE 11 and Edge


Apple Computers

  • Supported operating systems:Mac OS 10.9 or higher
  • Supported versions of Microsoft Office: Office 365 and Office 2011 and higher
  • Supported internet Browsers:
    • Apple Safari 7 and higher
    • Google Chrome version 46 and higher
    • Mozilla Firefox version 40 and higher

Note:  Effective December 4, 2015, Student and Alumni email passwords have been reset to the default of UIU and the last six digits of your social security number (e.g.:  UIU456789).  Single Sign on for Student Email is not available at this time.
